Shinichi Kudou is a gifted high school student with impressive detective skills, who solves tough mysteries easily. One day, he sees two mysterious men and follows them. He witnesses their secret crime and ends up being caught by them. They force him to take an experimental drug made by their gang with the intention of killing him. But he awakes in the body of a young boy of seven with the same sharp mind.
With this little body, his detective capabilities remain the same. He decides to hide his identity from everyone, even from his close friend Ran Mouri and her detective father, Kogorou Mouri. He calls himself Conan Edogawa, a name inspired by two great writers, Arthur Conan Doyle and Ranpo Edogawa.
As Conan, Shinichi continues solving cases and secretly investigating the group that changes him totally. He hopes he will return to normal one day.
